Is that a one lane road or two (in that direction)! The vehicle filming was sitting on the centre line, but not gaining on the bus, completely blocking anyone wanting to pass the bus. Such behaviour usually gets soundly abused on this board.

It's like a one and a half lane in each direction, not wide enough for 2 cars but wider than a normal lane. My ex was from Russia, she said lane changes were "interesting" when driving Jap imports, as the passenger had to watch for the oncoming traffic as they were in the right hand seat

Far out. I'm not sure if I'm on the same page as you guys though. The Lada is the vehicle that is merging from the right hand on ramp isn't it! It's been side by side the camera vehicle all along hasn't it! I'm not sure of the road markings or traffic give way rules over there. It appears that he has his indicator to the left to merge in front of the camera vehicle. Suddenly just as the Lada is about to merge the vehicle with the camera suddenly starts accelerating really quickly, like it is a deliberate effort to stop the Lada being able to merge in front. Certainly not a good effort by either driver!

I agree that the camera car (or truck going by the flat nose!) needs to take some of the blame. they were accelerating when the poor old lada had already gone past the point of no return.
Cant really tell but there might even have been a little love tap on the back corner of the lada to cause to spin.

What I see is a few things.
The Camera car is keeping a constant following distance from the bus, there seems to be enough room to pass for most of the video.Right at the end of the clip the gap narrows quickly due to fairly serious braking by the bus just as the Lada tries to slip through the gap.
I think the bus brakes because of the oncoming car going against the flow on the RH shoulder of the road.You can see this car shoot past (34 sec) just as the Lada moves in front of the camera.I wonder if the Lada saw this car coming and needed to move to his left quickly to avoid, but was screwed by the bus suddenly slowing and simply ran out of a) talent; b) room and c) a decent car.
The two guys were real lucky, the bulk of the impact was taken by the rear corner of the car.At 35 sec you can see the dude sitting in the LH seat trying to bail across the car to the RH side.

Top marks. Yes there is a car on the side of the road. I think you are right that the bus had eased off prior to his brake lights coming on.
Their driving style fit in really well,alot people put there foot up it, and try to block you all the time here,you sure it not Hamilton!

been to Russia, seen things like this in the short time i was there. i had a taxi driver who's driving skills in his Lada had me convinced i was going to die before i got to my destination. i video taped the ride, my friends who watched it said it was like watching a Benny Hill clip.
