Anyone know about the mechanical soundness of these convertibles, looking at some of the write ups and they seem to have serious repairs under 200kms! Body wise they fit what I want.

okay the first thing you need to check is for cracks in the firewall. If it is nz new this six thousand dollar repair may and I say have been done. second if you get there has it been serviced well and if a service sticker is there have they used the right oil. if both check out its off to scofields for a full check over or if out of auckland a saab mechanic

We've had a 93 from new and apart from routine servicing and a clutch it's been perfect. 130,000 kms over 10 years, great car.
