ceebee2, Nov 10, 5:52am
Just sold mine for $180

I still have the one I bought in 89, it's had one set of gears and countless brushes and still goes strong.

I have a rupies but diddn't check the speed -its too darn fast

dr.doolittle, Nov 10, 9:53am
Just put a kink in the power lead. That should slow it down.

grangies, Nov 10, 11:59am
Bugger. So it's not a variable speed!

Give it a few tries and you may get used to it. Otherwise you should certainly get your $$ back by reselling it.

ceebee2, Nov 10, 12:28pm
LOL.nice

rob_man, Nov 10, 1:18pm
What's the RPM Kaz! it should be around 1200 from memory. I'll have a look at mine once the overspray's settled in the cave.

kazbanz, Nov 10, 3:29pm
This one I've got has a duel head-model LT25 the fast side is 5500rpm and slowest is 2500 rpm

rob_man, Nov 10, 4:27pm
That is too fast for sure, I don't have any suggestions about slowing it down though.
I just went back out and had a look at mine, the writing's nearly worn right off but I think it does 1760 RPM

grangies, Nov 10, 5:43pm
That is a grinder.

Is it the one I linked to in my starting post!

richard198, Nov 10, 5:47pm
1200rpm sounds about right.

kazbanz, Nov 10, 5:52pm
I thought so too--No this is another one -the guys at rupies NZ diddn't comment on it being a grinder they said it was a polisher

kazbanz, Feb 21, 3:00am
For the record. The "trader" who listed the polisher is an utter BS artist. Failed to respond to several payment/pickup requests and finally a few minutes ago said "ahh sorry it was sold" - The response Yea to me I hit buy now."No sorry to someone else".
Something really dodgy and It will be reported.
