More info , going, in bits !

skin1235, Nov 8, 4:22am
even in bits its worth a couple
ht prems shipped with 3 choices of donk, 186, 253, and 327
( and the 327 was so tight you had to either lift the engine, remove the stee ring column, or cut holes in the wheel arch to change the right bank spark plugs - but all were a dream to drive)
327 with a heavy-ish tandem on the hook with 8 drums of cold tar from Ch-ch to Hoki = 4mpg = close to 1lt per km = very expensive trip, swapped it for a ht 186 wagon soon after that trip, had that for 18 yrs

craigie, Nov 8, 4:55am
it's going, had a transplant to a 350 chev out of ten I would say 7/10 in condition

chebry, Nov 8, 6:16am
350 was optional on HT 161,186,253,307/8 350 were the choices if its roadworthy its should fetch good coin, wouldnt give 10cents for an auto but a V8 manual would be good

I sold a reasonably good HT brougham sedan (4-5yrs ago),was dereg but straight with minimal rust 6-7/10 cond wise imo,a few other's who viewed it agreed.it had fact 308/powerglide e/w p/s twin headlight front on orig wheels/trims and it only sold for a mere 3k on auction on here.only sold it as circumstances dictated at the time.I had allready paid around 7k in storage fees keeping it.realistically speaking thats all those cars in need of work are worth, and 10k max if clean n tidy with reg/wof,anything more is a joke unless they have a 10k engine fitted, then you can start talking 20k,they are after all an old car FULL of cover ups under that new paint job.another brougham maroon in colour sold for around the 20 ish markgive or take a few though and it was excellant having had thousands spent on it along with alot of labour.cheaper to buy them allready done in the long run, providing you can afford to house and run them that is!

paull, Nov 8, 8:56pm
looks great mate, theres a great thread on aussiev8 called tribute to the hk,ht,hg premier check it out theres some cool old premiers on there aswell,in reality its worth what someone wants to pay and while there a 70,s old holden and there is a following for the ht,hk,hg shape its never gunna be worth big money unless its real special so if you can get 10k then you would be doing ok,good luck
