my teranno has just sprung a water leak but its coming from a small L shaped house by the firewall. I called a local wreckerand when I explained the part I was after he abruptly stated "we dont deal with little bullshit like that" and hung up. It may only be a small part and very inexpensive but is this not the purpose of most wreckers, for joe blogs to get random parts from dead vehicles!

if the wrecker is busy, with better things to do, you may be a waste of his time.
probably could have said it more nicely, just move on to the next one.

do you ever have antifreeze in your cooling system! and change it every 2 years as it suposed to be !

Op -this small L shaped HOUSE you refer to. Do you mean housing or Hose or do you mean a plastic/steel pipe! If it is the part I'm thinking of I understand the wreckers reluctance and STRONGLYrecommend you purchase a brand new part from Nissan or possibly a speciallist dismantler who has the part new on the shelf. Your Little leak is pretty soon gonna be a big expensive problem if left. The alternative is for now to disconnect said pipe and simply loop out the heater untill you can afford to replace the part.

All coolants were done approx 2 months ago, the rubber hoseis approx 200mm total length but in an L shape only a small diameter. The truck isnt really being used at the moment due to this leakso there isnt really a chance for it to get worse

LB- its a small leak now but what happens when it becomes a big leak! -water sprayed everywhere and a cooked engine would be my thought. Again if its what I think it is you will see one hose going into the firewall and another coming out.By just looping thoose hoses together the cars driveable just no longer has a heater-till you can buy the part new from nissan or maybee appco

yeh thats wreckers for ya.some are good and go out of their way to help you with little bits of junk. then theres others where if your not after a front cut or an engine for an insurance repair then they cant be bothered with you.

I doubt that's going to make any difference at this point in time.

yea well myght drive it to the metal recicling instead of fixing it if he never had antifreeze in it as that be only the start of his problems.
