The paint is enamel paint so doesn't get a clear coat, but what is the best way to get a really good finish on the paint plz!
I am guessing sand it wet with running water and 1200grit Then maybe a cutting polish and rag! Then apply some sort of wax stuff to protect it!

Pretty much what you just said,Enamal! Id wait a day or 3 to make sure its really hard beofre attacking it. And find aelectric polisher, unless your into the whole wax on wax off thing and want arms like a body builder. Painfull long process hand polishing. And if its cheapo enamal keep it out of the sun, itll chalk up in no time.Putting wax on will slow that process abit.what colour, Please don't say red.

If he'd told us enamel in the other thread i wouldn't have bothered with any advise.
That crappy gun would been perfect for enamel.
Wonder if he was told he could've bought an enamel hardener additive to make his paint last longer than a month & a half!

Lol okay so I did ALL the wrong things. And yes predictably it is red.Oh well, I learnt alot, had time to kill and it was fun and nowhere near as difficult to do as I thought and I now know first hand that it is "all in the prep".
