Which would be better in your opinion

An 04 honda accord wagon, fresh off the boat done 160,000k's or a second hand nissan wingroad wagon 06 done 130,000k's exact same price

gammelvind, Nov 21, 7:33pm
Both are second hand, assuming condition of both are the same, the nissan it's newer and lower milage.

Engine and Transmission type in the Wingroad!

springchicken6, Nov 21, 7:36pm
nissan wingroad ST-L 06 4cylinder 1800cc auto

stevo2, Nov 21, 7:40pm
That will be CVT then!

springchicken6, Nov 21, 7:41pm
errr pass :D

carstauranga001, Nov 21, 7:45pm
1800 is non CVT --- 2 litre is CVT

Personally I'd rather a Nissan than a Honda. In you case the Nissan is newer and done less ks so if as you say they are in same condition it would appear that the Nissan would be the better bet.

I'd take the one that best fits your needs and also "fits" you.By that I mean we took an Accord euro for a test drive once.I found it fine but herindoors who is shorter found she was looking through a distorded portion of the screen. We tried a couple of others out of interst and all had same problem. When we had a Maxima it was leather seats and nowhere as comfotable as the cloth versions.Looked better but you sort of sat on the leather and sat in the cloth.Little things like that can make a big difference over time.

Do wot matee!
You are thinking Avenir. The wingroad is either 1.5 or 1.8 in 06 and the 1.8 is in my experience CVT.
This is based on the 5 Ive sold in the last 6 months so maybee they are also still 4 stage auto

carstauranga001, Nov 22, 8:58am
Sorry, was thinking Avenir.

xpfairmont, Nov 22, 1:32pm
the second, newer, less k's. Fresh of the boat means it's been sitting for a long time

trdbzr, Nov 22, 1:45pm
If its a ST-L wingroad, then its likely to be NZ New. They are CVT, but if they have a service history with a dealer/garage and the CVT fluid was changed when it needed changing, using ONLY genuine nissan cvt fluid then it should not pose any issues. However, if there is no proper documented service history regarding transmission, engine oil changes etc, then probably best to avoid unless you get a proper pre purchase inspection done. Nissan/garages with nissan obd scanner plug it in and it tells them what condition the cvt fluid is in and if it needs changing.

Argg--hang on a mo--Theres those semi commercials coming in. Some guys selling em as wingroads but they are basicly AD's -from memory those have the silphy/pulsar 4 stage auto

phillip.weston, Nov 22, 4:27pm
I would go the Honda as it's twice the car to drive as the Wingroad. Both will be as reliable as each other.

vtecintegra, Nov 22, 4:27pm
The Accord is a larger and nicer car. You want to make sure it has the 2.4 though

springchicken6, Nov 22, 4:48pm
Not buying either now. Decided to put it off until the legnum actually dies

snoopy221, Nov 22, 10:42pm
