In Wairua Road, I stopped car with motor running and jumped out and some how the car door auto locked with baby in car seat. It was a cloudy day so baby wasnt in any immediate danger of over heating. I thought of smashing the window then thought a couple of minutes patients and a bit of thought can make all the difference and save a few hundred dollars. Having recently broken my cellphone I had few options. No fence to rip a bit of wire off to unlock door. No tools of any discription except for the ones locked in the car. Next option, I waved the next car down that was going past. Thats where John of Forrest hill comes in to it. He was kind enough to make a couple of calls for me. First was to the police who said they would come and smash the window. No thanks I could do that myself in much quicker time So John rings the AA off his own bat. Im not a member of the AA but they still came. They were there almost immediately, and had the door open in about 15 seconds flat. So many many thanks to John and the AA for their help and quick thinking. Probably saved me a few hundred dollars in a window replacement. Thank you John. I really appreciate your help. Most kind of you. And thank you AA. Even though I wasnt a member you quickly came to the rescue with out even asking for compensation of any sort. A big thumbs up to you guys.
