Vibrating zx 300

Do you think it better to replace two piece drive shaft with single drive shaft or fix original one. Pros & cons please

Fix original or get a cheap S/H one.

I'd be making 100% sure first that it is the driveshaft causing the vibration.

only vibrates on take off or ova 100 ks how could i be sure if it is drive shaft

Many things to check. What makes you think it is the driveshaft!

Need to know exactly how it vibrates, when it vibrates, type of road it vibrates on, whereabouts on the car the vibration feels to be coming from, whether its a drivetrain vibration or a wheel/suspension/brakes vibration, etc.

You can balance driveshafts if you are certain that is the problem. The time it would take to check if it is unbalanced is about the same time as it would take to balance it up. Could also be worn Joints in the shaft. Or Could also be the diff or trans vibrating through the driveshaft. Driveshaft could be slightly bent or have run out etc. There is far to many variables to check.

Two obvious starting points to check. Firstly the centre hanger which is a common failure and a realtively inexpensive fix. Transmission mount is also prone to failure.
Single piece shafts are great and I'd highly recommend on high HP 300ZX's but unless it is something more than the two options I suggested I would question the need and the cost.

Drive shafts don't go out of balance on their own.unless it's been dinged or the balance weights have fallen off.
It will probably be knackered universal joints, hanger bearing or mounts.

You can try joining the NZ 300zx Club (Its free) and asking on there, plenty of experienced ZX people on there who work on these every day so will be able to help. http://www.300zx.co.nz/
