110000KS, can pick this up for 1kit loses 1 cup full of water in 500kshow can I check wether this is a expensive head gasket job or just perhaps a leaky pipe or something less sinister! All else on car seems good. 2 owners , manual trans.looks like its been raced in japan, has extra bolt things for 4 lap seat belt

Have a mechanic do a pressure test on the coolant system, if it fully pressurises then it is not likely to be a leaky pipe. Also do a teekay test which is for the presence of hydrocarbonsin the coolant system. A positive teekay test almost always means a head gasket.

Headgasket isnt a biggie if you do work to the head while its off it can get spendy but just a H/G replacement is FA
