Been offered the 68 coupe running c6 390BB Reg on hold but should be able to get wof. Would double check this. Would that be a resonable swap for my xa!

Depends on the condition of the Galaxy and what you want the car for. If its tidy and the motor is good, probably not a bad deal. Would want to be careful about the no WOF - rust can get expensive to fix.

Yeah would make sure it had a wof before swap and had a good check over. Thing is mine has body rust too. So either way they will need repairing one day. Sending me some pics today. Mine wasnt original v8 its been converted. But I got the missus to do some more pics for my classified and now I dont want to sell especially the main pic haha

Im not sure man. He sending me pics. Its in the manawatu! Only thing is there are so many US cars flooding the market.Just look at mustangs and corvettes/ impalas etcand the price drops out of them. You cant really import aussie cars and they were so prone to rust that there isnt many good ones left.

It looks cool but its not an original v8 looking at your work on that do the same to the galaxy and it will be worth more and remember the bigger the block the better the value

What does the 390 go like! I like the small blocks they just seem like they pack a little punch where the BB are cool but.! If we were talking a mopar 440 big block then hell yeah!

There is a mint rust free 68 galaxie coupe on here that I got offered it for 21k! Not worth as much as I thought as it must not appeal to many people where my XA has a huge following.

Friend of mine had a 390 fe block in a xr falcon that went bloody well too well in fact last time I saw it it was being pulled out of a tree too much power not enough handling or stopping lol a lot of go real fast goodies avalible for the 390 as well and they are a very strong motor over engineered

bottom line is this.if the coupe is so great why do they wanna swap it for your XA .havent seen either of the cars .but seems to me a 351 replica would be more marketable both sides of the Tasman.better the devil you know.

Yeah man I have now taken it off the market! Haha Gonna flick of that BA falcon. Pity it flares in 3rd gear gonna make it harder to sell!
