I did that a few years back, got a nice set of black plates which was a big part of the look I was going for. Vehical was not stolen just very dead.plates and tags for $200

you still must have to cut and weld the number that is punched into the inner guard or firewall of most vehicles, surely. I do not have a problem with the fact that this is a cheap way to re- register a vehicle but yea, when you bring the hot cars bit into it, it sort of loses its purpose a tad huh .

There are shit loads of cars running around on plates, tags and with numbers they didn't originally come out with. The govt has made it damn easy to dereg a car then made it $$$ to get it back on the road again. Whats ok and whats not! The age old question. Some people say body while others draw the line at chassis swapping. The reality is - who cares! Its what is recorded in the system matching with whats sitting in the shed. Its all about $$$.
