Good, im wanting something cheap to run and tow a small dog trailer.

liggy2, Dec 1, 7:11am
Yeah they are the best mate very reliable and cheap to run.

intrade, Dec 1, 7:15am
one of my friend had one and he got rid of it as it was using way to mutch gas for a tini car he said. he was gona get a falcon or something instead and recond that would use less gas then the terios. he then got a jeep for 1 year and that was to woobley for him so he now got a cdi merc.

dakotas_sunrise, Dec 1, 7:16am
How many km would you get out of a tank do you think!

the-lada-dude, Dec 1, 7:17am
had one from new1996guttless,noisey engine, high engine revs at 100kph, constant 4x wheel drive ( not good for fuel economy ) arsehole to service, wouldn't go there if I were u

dakotas_sunrise, Dec 1, 7:20am
Ok what would you go for then!

liggy2, Dec 1, 7:20am
Lada HAHAHHAHAHHA Daihatsu Terios will give you around 700 k's on a tankful they are not gutless they are 1300 cc and very good power for such a low cc rating

dakotas_sunrise, Dec 1, 7:27am
Single mum wanting help PLEASE.will she tow a trailer round ok. i like the look of them and they seem cheap to run i need a bloke to help with advice.

budgel, Dec 1, 7:38am
Towing, 4WD, and cheap to run dont really go together.

dakotas_sunrise, Dec 1, 7:41am
ok. what about a mitsy RVR!

andy61, Dec 1, 10:47am
Avoid Mitsi RVR, unless you want to keep your mechanic wealthy and yourself poor. Look at a slightly later model Sukuzi Escudo/Vitara(1997+)with a 4 cylinder engine.

the-lada-dude, Dec 1, 11:11am
Oh yeah !f'n big tank then. any other 1300cc would eat these for fuel econ.

the-lada-dude, Dec 1, 11:14am
NO, toyota corolla / starlet, nissan sunny some thing like that, how much r u going to spend !

dakotas_sunrise, Dec 1, 2:52pm
okthanks, what about a honda odyssey 2l 2000!

chebry, Dec 1, 2:56pm
She wanted something cheap to run not a gas hog oddity is just a big van with only an accord power train

dakotas_sunrise, Dec 1, 3:52pm
I was told they are god on gas a 2l not a 6. do you think they are hungry!

dakotas_sunrise, Dec 1, 5:44pm
Bumping for help PLEASE

andy61, Dec 1, 6:25pm
Give us some clues as to much you want to spend! Its pointless suggesting cars when they are out of your price range. Also helps to know if you are using the car to carry kids(ie 2 or 4 kids). Best to look at Toyotas ,Nissans,Hondas but keep away from Mitsis.

dakotas_sunrise, Dec 1, 7:08pm
Ok thanks, ive got two kids,, and i save dogs so need to be able to tow my dog trailer as well,,, Max i could spend is $4000. I dont want a nana car lol

dakotas_sunrise, Dec 1, 7:17pm
I dont really want a car, i dont want a boot, so rvr or station wagon etc just incase i need to put a dog in the car:)

beast9, Dec 1, 8:34pm
toyota rav4s arent to badly priced and not bad on gas and capable of towing as its towed my brothers dead hatsu out of a big hole

dakotas_sunrise, Dec 1, 8:50pm
Yes i like the rav4s but they have no boot room so i was put off them,, Im looking at a nissan primera on TM ive had a 4x4 one in the past was a good car. I am know going to stay away from the mitzys from what ive been told. thanks everyone:)

biddy6, Dec 2, 6:10am
Have a look at the Honda CRV, easy to get in and out of, reasonable on gas, biggish boot, (you can lay the back seats down), and will tow a light trailer no problem.536492664

the newer ones are 1500cc but 4k is older one,i had a newer 1.5 manual 2wd that was rear wheel drive, nice but light and slippery whenwet as no traction controlso get 4wd model.

seems like a great buy
