looks like pretty much every other late model 4wd to me

saxman99, Dec 2, 8:41pm
I wouldn't say I really like it as such, but it's not that bad. Nowhere near that Multipla yet.

Yip the automotive world can be an ugly place

fiatracer, Dec 3, 6:20am
I don't think it's so bad, especially considering the other cars they've done in recent years. Think of all those gormless big cars - V3000s, the dreadful 380, Evo 10 etc etc. Mitsubishi have the worst looking cars on NZ roads.

lazzo, Dec 3, 7:36am
I think it's ugly too. But I do think they got the first original Outlander right! Unfortunately they have got progressively worse since then. Interior on this new one looks acceptable, but the nose and tail on it are just aweful.

Not all Mitsubishi's are ugly, I still think the Lancer is a good looking car 7 years on since release, Pajero is still a good looking thing, and the Triton has grown on me. The rest is rubbish.

jason18, Dec 3, 7:42am
Bloody nice! I likey!

bellky, Dec 3, 7:47am
Looks alright to me.

fiatracer, Dec 3, 8:00am
Clearly it's totally subjective - but the only Lancer I found passably ok was the last RWD [nice clean lines for a Japanese car of the time] and the first FWD. Since then I think they [and Imprezzas] blight our roads with their ugliness.

freedomaira320, Dec 3, 8:17am
Yes, looks are definitely subjective. I do think the latest Outlander is another backward from the original one, which was actually a bit of a standout. I don't think any Lancers, old, new, Evo or not are any good. I don't mind the Triton and I actually think the 380, for all its faults as a car, was actually not a bad design.

All Japanese car makers seem to wax and wane on looks. The Legacy was ugly from day one, suddenly became quite smart in the mid 2000s and has gone backwards since (the Impreza has sort of gone the other way round). Hondas were cool in the old days, lost their way bigtime in the 90s and are finding their mojo again now. Mazdas were unspeakably bad for decades (except the MX5), but since the 6 came out have had a bit of an epiphany. And Toyotas and Nissans have managed to raise blandness to an artform.

Same as Mitsi.the smoke from new as well. I hate Mitsubishi's, unreliabe pieces of crap.

the-lada-dude, Dec 3, 3:44pm

carmad50, Dec 27, 1:40pm
xs or the latest in manaros

mitsiboy69, Dec 27, 2:12pm
Looks ok to me. Far uglier cars being released these days.

bmwnz, Dec 27, 3:37pm
Actually, it looks just like any other SUV to me, albeit nicer spec'd inside than most. I loathe SUV's so its not in my market anyway.
