Personally I wouldnt have one as a gift but my sister spent a day at a Mercedes day powersliding Benz products around Manfield and liked them, she didnt buy onehowever when she needed a new car even though the A190 can go sideways without falling over it wasnt designed with twisty backroads in mind.

Sheesh if that lot doesn't put you off then nothing would, I knew they were bad but not that bad.That site from what I've seen is a pretty credible source of information.

Hi there. I totally understand and was looking at them for the same reason you are thinking about them. Unknown to me, my cousin bought an A160. She's pretty savvy with cars so I was surprised to find that she is having all sorts of electronic problems with it. Also it was just awful to ride in. I changed my mind because everything I read about them was negative. I decided on a Golf in the end. Plenty of them around, don't need a specialist to service and they look great. The one I found is really lovely to drive. Good luck.
