Licence Eye Test

What's involved in the Licence Eye Test. How many lines do you have to read down on the eye chart! I have contacts in, so am wondering if i should get my eyes tested again (+ the extra money of the exam, new contact prescription bla bla). My visions is pretty good, but it's not like an eagles.

I see what u mean, sitting the test will show how good a pupil u are. what ever u do, for goodness sake, don't make a spectacle of yourself.

If you're that worried go to your GP and get them to test your eyes; they give you a pass that is accepted for LTNZ.

Nado. do the test a week or so early. If you pass the eye test all good.If not then you go to your optometrist and get tested by them anyway.-Thats the LTNZ requirement

Oh yuh. Just heard stories that the ltnz charge you everytime you apply. So if by the slight chance something happens, i'll have to fork out another $40 odd. Oh well. Merry xmas ltnz.

That wasn't the case for me a few months back.One fee then come back with the eye test from the eye doc -all good to go

Its not like opticianseye testno chart, I wear specs for driving at night but passed theeye testwhen I had to renewlicence

My vision is pretty bad and I wear glasses all the time but I can still pass the eye test for my licence

look out the cornea of your eye, and if they aren't looking, CHEAT ! if they catch you doing it, lash out at them and deneye it

If you are going to the Albany AA one of their eye test machines is dodgy. I was there with a friend who was getting their license. I was bored so looked into one of the machines. I saw double everything like As if I was crosseyed. Looked into the other machine, perfect vision. This was about a year ago so hopefully they have fixed / adjusted that machine by now.

if you are an AA member you can get the eye test done free at spec savers, in Hamilton anyway. Did mine there for a licence recently.

When I wore glasss for driving, I asked if I could take the test without my glasses first.Passed OK. That was a few years ago.

Just remember that as you age, your eyes change. My distance vision is now brilliant, but I often need glasses for reading and close work, which is the total opposite of when I was a teenager.
