The 1800 bluebird silphy is sold in NZ as a nissan Pulsar.
They have no inherant faults. Chain drive engine with regular oil services will last for many years and it has a normal 4 stage gearbox so again service at 60000km and no worries,
I've sold a few 1800s and only had 2 issues. 1 was the rear suspension was worn out after 6 months but the buyers familly was er um LARGE people. The other issue has been rear windows not working.
without exception this has been the glass literally stuck in its frame due to lack of use.Once the glass was freed it worked perfectly.
Incidently the interior comes in different grades.its worth while getting the higher grade dark plush interior --It looks a heap nicer

I bought the exact car this year. import from japan with 55,000 kms. It's alright. but for some weird reason, the 1996 nissan presea i drive has a faster take off than the bluebird. otherwise comfy, reliable family sedan. good price too.
