Mine too, haven't looked at the website but is only 2 years old. Go live 1000 model. Wouldn't even switch on 30minutes after getting home from trip - I wanted to enter a new favourite. Can anyone help please!

http://tinyurl.com/cucdm82 - an example - there are heaps of different models on there. Shouldnt be more than $20 NZ shipped. Should be an easy fix
The maps would be out of date.Cheaper to buy anew one.

Mine s a Go Live 1000 model, just over 2 years old and I've been having battery type problems lately, including having to hold the button down for about half a minute just to get it running. Got in touch with Tomtom via their website and they said it's a known problem and it'd be fixed - went to Australia on Friday - I delivered it (with all the accessories) to a firm in Sth Auckland. Will be interesting to see if I get the same one back or it's replaced and how long it takes!

I thought pressing the button for at least a minute was standard for Tomtom.

No, these days they come on when you turn on the key - didn't 2 years ago though but fixed with one of the updates - voice pronunciation also vastly improved, even says my street name - Maori) correctly!. Quite suddenly mine stopped doing that, then it was the hold the button down for ages and wait for the drums trick, then it would work normally again. That's when I emailed Tomtom.

Another weird thing - in the latest map update, the summer one, it tells me to turn right to go into Auckland city when approaching the motorway from Te Atatu Sth. Sure the city is to the right but you get on the MW by turning left in a big curve! Bit dangerous if you were a tourist and relying on it. Probably not TT's fault though, the provider I guess,
