I've recently got an 05 subaru with one of these in.,have done the search on the board and the threads that come up are quite old., was wondering if anybody had managed to decipher these yet!.
When I bought the car the intention was to pull it out and put the pocket assembly in its place!.but having a play around with it there is a lot of good stuff in it. reversing camera etc. it seems a shame to rip it out!.and it does look good in the car.
I see that there are couple of business's offering to do conversions now on the type that I have.,has anyone had this done!.and what are there thoughts!.,even thought of trying to get one from a wrecker in Oz out of a liberty ( guessing they are in english!).and retro fitting it!.
I'm sure there are others that have already looked into this!.and just after feedback.cheers in advance.Ian

Ian--the standard reply is that the satnav wont work in NZ. standard reply based on years of experience. But PLEASE go and prove me wrong. NO sarcasm at all in that last line -I'd be really happy if someone has actually cracked it. Incidently one companies solution was to rip out the jap stuff and fit a kiwi double din head unit with the satnav etc in it. -its a "fix" I guess

Contact Auto Gadgets in Takanini. Auckland. www auto-gadgets.co.nz.They say they are able to convert that stuff. Change writing from japanese to english etc Worth a shot.
