just asking, as my 1600 lada is quoted as 75 bhp, and my engine is very similar in cyl/head,. my old twin cam fiat 1600 was 90 hp

Appologies for the above, the Opel model Peter Brock fitted with the 308 V8 was an Opel Monza, not Manta as stated earlier.

Too much body rengineering needed on those for the Oz market those early Dores were substatially strengthened over the Vauxhall Opel versions, GMH didnt want to know and 2door cars have limited appeal in OZ
