"H" Sticker

Recently I have noticed several big trucks with an "H" sticker on the front.generally just one on one side.I live in Blenheim so many of the trucks around here are just off the ferry or just heading to the ferry. I thought it may have some thing to do with that, like the "anchor" symbol they have to indicate where there tie down points are. A green H on a yellow background or visa verus

Thought it was 'Heavy', allowed to carry 50 (!) Ton instead of 42! Could be wrong.

Generally heavier or longer than most trucks

H trailers are longer than the older 44tonne trailers can carry more weight and for car steerers may take longer to overtake

Two desperate permits under "H" or high productivity motor vehicle. One for exceeding VDAM (vehicle dimension and mass rule) weight and one for exceeding VDAM length. Not may weight permits issued under HPMV yet as a large percentage of NZ roads are not yet ready. Plenty of the length permits out there with the maximum current length allowed to be 22.3mtrs as opposed to the normal 20.
