car has done 130ks and i have never changed the plugs or leads,just the usual regular servicing,oil,filters that sort of thing. is it worth getting a complete service done on these motors or am i wasting my money .

locate a servicing booklet for that type of car you have, it will detail all the service details.Is there any service history with this vehicle !

At that amount of km,s I'd be doing the plugs, trans, diff etc and change the coolant.

Just did the plugs for a mate and his VX SS. He was quoted $239 just for the plugs. nice bloke on TM did the set, including post, for $98! Took us a little while. ok, me, to change them, and the original plugs were still okay. needed a clean, but I would have left them alone. His one had done 140,000. Oil and filter should be done at least every 6 months, depending on your milage and driving style. Read yer book.

I find you can't necessarily tell whether modern cars plugs are past it by looking at them. They come out of one of our cars in particular every time looking like they went in yesterday when in fact they are really affecting performance.

Considering the gaps were at spec I didn't think they needed replacing. Been reading plugs for over twenty years.

yea its an auto, it has had reg oil changes and filter and i have never done the trans and had the diff done last year, has a new air filter and the rad has been flushed and new anti freeze, the things i havent done are the plugs,leads and trans
