Mr Montezemolo has some goods points, but I feel he could be fighting an uphill battle.

Have to agree, not a ferrari fan here but not having testing does seem silly, plus all the nit picky regs seem to stiffle innovation.

Where I struggle with F1 these days is that Bernie E scoops millions from any country that wants to host F1.As he also owns the TV production rights and has fingers in all sorts of associated areas, over the years, F1 has totally lost the plot as far as a sport is concerned and much of the blame lays at his door. At the same time, we now get live TV transmitted world wide but at the expense of the paying spectators.He pulled the whole circus together but I can't help harking back to the 1960's when the cars, drivers, teams and tracks had character. We now get purpose built tracks with no soul, but they are geared up for just one massive loss making weekend a year.NO F1GP makes a profit for the tracks and although the racing was pretty good last year, too much money is involved. Too few teams are involved, with the top tier light years ahead of the rest in terms of expenditure.Bring back the days of the privateers. Limiting practice opportunities to save money is a joke if 100 guys in one team are involved only in wind tunnel testing!
