my 1990 mazda's belts are looking a bit tired and before they fail a wof i was thinking about replacing them. can you still get the inertia reel belts, or only the web grabber ones! any differences in mounting size on the reel part!

if slow rectracting.!.clean top mounting slide with rag. have alook. and you will see a build up of gunkon top mount. cut a sliver of a clean rag. and slide under belt. and rub backwards and forwards.and then spraysilicone 808.on the belt. 90 % of the timeit works. hopethishelps. andps 1990 shouldnt needweb grabbers.

Partmaster sell inertia belts, don't know about the others

Check the yellow pages, or ask your local panel beater, for the name of a company that sells/installs replacement inertia reel belts.

I had a rear belt fail a couple of years ago on a late 90's NZ new car. Agents wanted arm and leg for one ex Japan. Panel beater gave me name of mobile guy. Fraction of the cost and meets the correct safety standards. No problems for wof's.

When I ripped that mazda 121 to bits I found the belt in there was exactly the same as the ones that I bought from appco for the morry. A 90/90 belt it was.
