Yes, he is talking at the wheels, and that is maybe 4rd gear and the diff as well. My V8 now has 242Kw at the wheels (about 310-315 at motor, up from 270), so he has maybe gone from 270kw to 300kw, not too hard with the turbos . (get up to 350kw without opening the motor)
But some people cannot read a dyno sheet so 1610nm is maybe 550nm times the diff ratio.

440nm in a disco 4 which is the highest torque output for that engine.

700Nm! Where did you get that figure from! and is right though the full RPM range! Or does it drop off as the rev's climb! I think that they are more like 440Nm @ 1900rpm

That is true.
BA's are rated at 240kw at the flywheel too FYI. Would be interested to see gear ratio etc the dyno was done in and see how many horsies it has actually gained.

you destroy transmissions with to high torque. volkswagen broke a few on there tdi race car in the early days.
