I'd be more comfortable with the Nissan for reliability but I had a 2 litre auto and I get the same, sometimes better, L/100km from my 3.8L Commodore ute. I'd say the Mitzi would be better ecenomy being manual, but I dont know that for sure.

The Nissan would be my pick. Economy wise, the Mitsi might be marginally better, but I wouldn't think by much, and the Cefiro will certainly give you reliable service. I have a 97 Maxima 3ltr V6, and it's incredibly efficient for a bigger motor. And they are a beautiful car to drive, and with the exception of a few minor electrical issues, pretty much bulletproof, no cambelt to worry about either.

Cefiro would be my choice, not sure if the 2 litre would be much cheaper to run than the 2.5! Cefiros are not particularly economical in my experience, but easy and smooth to drive.

Easy, dont buy cars with 3 diamonds on the front unless you want keep your mechanic wealthy and yourself poor.

Is that through experience! I had a mechanic friend who had a higher milage NZ new Diamante and swore by it as one of the best cars he has ever owned.
