methylated spirits is mostly ethanol with methanol added.hence "methylated" spirits.

Methylated spirits is now ethanol with bitrex and colour. Methanol was removed about 5 years ago for safety reasons.

When I did biodiesel a few years ago it would come down from a company in christchurch in a 205L drum. Was over $400 at the time.
If you don't need much then go ask a store who buys from TMK packaging to get you some in, I think it is TMK who has it
