I have tried lots to buy these, new and/or second hand and they seem to be rarer than the poverbial rocking horse excrement,Flat glass ones are there but not curved glass, some retailers have recommended trying Oz or England. Any leads in New Zealand semi sealed or sealed, am getting desperate.
Try Kawerau Panelbeaters, I saw something like that sitting new in boxes covered in dust.

Going by your description thats a common as headlight unit (outer 5731 3pin & inner 5712 2 pin. Find it surprising that you are struggling to find them. We carry them at work (& have stock) - I will check but am positive they are curved. Holden HK, HT, HG, HQ etc Premier/Statesman had the twin units & were sealed type. The later semi sealed were used in Hz models etc & these were flat glass QH type.

BNT will do them, The jaylec brand ones are curved. or try 0800 daparts
Most sealed beams are made in india since bosch and stanley stopped making them, the quaility is a bit hit and miss but if your anting seal beams then your not wanting them for night driving lol

Do you want genuine sealed units! I know where you can get crystal style semi-seal units that look swish, and take a Halogen bulb.

I've got a 7 inch curved headlamp off an XJS. When I had a '75 XJ6 the small headlamps were $9 and the big ones $14, from my local garage.

This surprises me because I have never had any problem getting the sealed beam lights you seek from Repco. and I went through about half a dozen over a couple of years before it dawned on me that it wasn't crappy luck and I actually had an overcharging alternator!
("Revolution race gear" branded ones were about $30, although for a while they weren't stocking those and only had a $50 one instead. )

mmmm hmmmm, and I have another punter with a thunderbird that wants some too, curved glass like the original stanley type ones !
richardmayes,

Yes, my old Triumph has a mix of original Lucas. Stanley, and Repco lights.
The curve of the glass is the same. The patterns of ribs on the casting of the front glass are completely different of course but you have to get down on your hands and knees to really tell.
What doesn't help is that different people/ outfits seem to use the terms 5 3/4" and 5 1/4" pretty interchangeably to refer to the same lamps!
Also Repco front counter guys and girls vary a lot, from utterly clueless to absolutely excellent, so it pays to take a blown lamp in with you to compare.
did you get the 'jaylec' branded ones, im positive they are curved. try 0800daparts then

Just be aware that if they're for a car due to be VIN'd, they might need to match.
