hi all,just bought the wife above car,on the display it tells you how many ks to empty,does this need to be set when you put fuel in, doesn't seem very accurate,says 220 to empty,but fuel gauge is on less then 1/4,also when driving it says 220 then goes up to 230 then down to 210, hoping the computer not playing up,cheers for any info

Thats normal if your coasting down hill using little fuel your km's to empty will increase. If you then accelerate to pass your km's to empty will drop.Its calculated off the the litres used per km or km per litre whatever one holden uses.

No you don't have to reset anything, the DTE figure floats all over the place, there are complex calculations involved that are changing all the time that involve engine speed and load, how much fuel is left, what your driving style is and has been etc. If you have been driving a lot in urban areas then start doing constant throttle driving on the open road the DTE goes up and vice versa.

The computer takes into account previous usage and updates according to current usage, there are very few circumstances in which you will get it accurate, and it will never go down in km's matching the ones you have driven

With a commie, if relied on, chances are you will run out before the ) km shows.

na mine i find is quiet accurate (on open road that is). Another thing you could do to reset it is disconnect your battery and reconnect it, but make sure you have the code for your radio. It will be more accurate then but dont do it too often. Once will be enough. Thats from my experience anyway, other people will disagree

Found all mine even old vn calais to be accurate ,it changes to suit driving .drive nicly for while then fang it u will notice it will change tellin u less k to empty as u usen more gas .if u put in twenty bucks at gas station will tak a bit driving to regester if u fill will compute straight away. Do u have hand book! It explain it all in there.

still says 130 ks to empty but display also flashing saying very low on fuel,lol,dont think i will pay much attention to the ks to empty one,lol.
