Over the last couple of summers we have had a spate of Jap import 01-05 nissan sunny/bluebirds with exactly the same fault. The left rear window refuses to work.
The cure is fairly straightforward. Unbolt the winder mechanism. from the door. Then pull the window down. wash the window, lube the tracks and it works fine again.
But why only ever the left rear.! mystery to me this one

It's probably from where they have been stored next to something very cold/ leaking dust/ over spray from insecticides . something in common for that batch.
Presuming they all come from hhe same supplier!

I had a 93 skyline and 92 Maxima do that and same cure for both too. I thought it was electrical (voltage drop) being the furtherest from the master switch and very thin wire.

We had a new car once where the left rear lock refused to unlock with the central locking.Went back under warranty and new door motor fited.Worked for about three weeks, then became erratic and after about another three weeks came right. But still played up about every 6 months.I'm with the voltage drop idea plus maybe more or less oil/grease in that particular part.

As for the window winder a slightly tight point in the pressings, joints etc but only on the part for the LR or a slight misalignment in the door pressings, mounting holes etc. Could even be the glass is slightly the wrong shape/size and binding up.

In other words could be any silly comon thing across the range.

Wonder if its a known fault for Nissan!

no worries

Can you please advise what you use to lube the tracks! I've got a sluggish Nissan Pulsar winder!

CRC make a silicone spray which I've used for that sort of thing with great success.
