llortmt, Mar 14, 5:44pm

meathead_timaru, Mar 14, 5:45pm
944

afer_daily, Mar 14, 5:48pm
wellthis is starting to narrow the feild down .

gammelvind, Mar 14, 5:51pm
Because the only real Porsche is a 911, all the rest are market fillers. The worst being that 4wd thing, gawd that is ugly.

mugenb20b, Mar 14, 6:01pm
911, because it looks like a VW Beetle on steroids. I like the Cayenne and Panamera.

sr2, Mar 14, 6:54pm
LOL; you'd have to be it's mother to like its looks but the 4wd Cayenne is one very impressive machine, if you ever get the chance to drive one go for it, you'll see what I mean.
After running a GT3 in the Targa I have to say the 911 is one hell of a competent drivers car.

incar., Mar 14, 7:20pm
i agree, i inspected 2 cayenne's last week, one was a 08' v6, the other was a v8 twin turbo, what a rocket ship for a suv based on the Group PL71 platform !

llortmt, Mar 14, 7:23pm
I'm going to sound like that idiot Jazz but you have clearly never owned a 911!

nissan_fan, Mar 14, 7:30pm
GT3

austingtir, Mar 14, 7:36pm
924, 968, 928 pretty much everything except a 911.

austingtir, Mar 14, 7:43pm
Please explain!Out of all the new porkers those are probably one of the few that will be worth something in 30 years time.

austingtir, Mar 14, 7:44pm
He's certainly never driven one!

mugenb20b, Mar 14, 7:44pm
Compared to other sports cars, I just don't like the look of it.

clark20, Mar 14, 8:09pm
Carrera GT
Only because I worked on a part for it

boeingb17, Mar 14, 8:13pm
volkswagen beetle.it's a 911 if you drop sumthing heavy on it

sr2, Mar 14, 8:59pm
The GT3 we ran was an ???almost??? standard 3.8 N/A beast that took us all by surprise. It was the kind of race car that had no single performance attribute that stood out but the whole sum of what it was capable of just blew you completely away. Sure it was an unforgiving, hard to runmechanical contradiction that almost had our service crew threatening to resign but what a wonderfully balanced car, all I can say is just drive one!

trogedon, Mar 15, 4:46am
Yes it is. It only shared its engine with the VW van the rest was all new. It was the best handling Porsche when it came out.

kwkbrk, Mar 15, 6:35am
928, GTS or later model S4.
Still on my "likely to achieve in the next 5 years" list.
RWD and V8, a combination difficult to dislike.

bwg11, Mar 15, 7:36am
Driven quite a few 911's over the years. They range from rattley, harsh pigs to sublime supercars. But my favourite Porsche is the Boxster - not the fastest, but perfect balance and a wonderful drive.

rsr72, Mar 15, 7:53am
944's, S or Turbo, are a good buy, and even now still one of the finest-handling cars ever built.

austingtir, Mar 15, 3:21pm
I agree the 944 turbo arent bad at all and have loads of potential still not the same as a 911 and there are better options than the 944 around with similar features.944 certainly was not their worst effort thats for sure.

But you cant beat those aircooled six cylinder ones for character.
