IHRA Nationals this weekend include a special 40 year celebrations for the track. a big party with a lot of old school racers at the Puke Hot Rod Club on Friday night, qualifying on the Saturday & racing on Sunday with lots of old school dragsters & doorslammers on show on Sunday. $40 for a weekend pass, this will be Drag Racings biggest Nostalgia trip in NZ. $40 is pretty cheap entetrtainment for a true petrolhead. you going!

Heading down to watch on Sunday, we were meant to be racing but we torched a piston during qualifying at comp meet 4.

track was super sticky for yesterdays qualifying passes, the social scene afterwards was pretty cool. even the PHRC was packed & many were forced outside. this is going to be HUGE. 3 rounds of qualifying today(saturday), racing tommorrow with nitro cars starting the proceedings.

glad we went yesterday (sat), saw some great runs in the 6's. Today probably a rain off! A shame, as it looked promising. Anybody with an update!
