Which turns on and off with the ignition and re records over old footage on a SD card. All automatic until you need the footage and can remove the card. Does anyone have any recommendations!

if you have android phone you can mount that and use Daily Roads app to do exactly that
here is a link to a video from a blackvue, I think you should post your budget, you need/want gps, speed, live location, be able to set in 1 min, 2min increments etc, or just the plain Jane camera thats very blurred and even harder to read rego numbers, I landed this for $260 nz, looking at up grading to the higher HD unit
DR400G-HD, problem is when you upload it to you tube the quality isn't as good as raw footage, they have released a newer version, DR500GW, you might want to look at the DR400G-HD11 its a higher spec than mine

Mine is a Vehicle Blackbox DVR, has all that you need
I like how you can just put it over your rearview mirror then its out of the way, also seems to say is 1080p.

I'm sort of intrigued why one of these is desired.Mind you, I would have welcomed one when an asshole overtook me on double yellow lines, last week. But do these have any use for other than traffic patrols!

The Warehouse had some around Xmas that were 'No Limits' brand for $99, got one on my motorcycle, works really well for recording trips. Very similar ones in Jaycar for about $125. They come with waterproof cover, clips, lots of mounts, etc. Be sure to get a Class 10 micro SD memory card, as slower ones cause problems. Around 7 hours of recording on a 32GB card.
