I rejected a vehicle for an SRS light that stays on all the time,owners mate "fixed it" light now doesn't go at all.i rejected it again.Owner took it to Auckland and got a wof .still not fixed.now he has asked me for the $52 back ,that i charged him for my inspection.I have said politely that won't be happening.

report it to the Ltsa, oh wait i have inspected hundreds of unsafe vehicle's with new wof,spoken to ltsa and was told i was the first to report any such happenings, gave up

i failed a car laster year for a front left shock that was leaking so bad that it was spraying oil all over the inner gaurd and a broken engine mount. The owner drove straight from my workshop and got a electronic shock absorber test and passsed! then striaht to vtnz and passed a woff all on same day then came back and had a go at me. shock was so F**ked i could lift the shock through most of its travel with my hands and yet passed a electronic shock absorber test! hmmm

You have a complaints procedure that you must carefully follow and document in your prs manual, you should respond in writing, if they're not happy (and they wont be) direct them to the NZTA 0800 number so they may appeal.

Check process is . Key on = srs light on Start engine = srs light goes out a few seconds later = PASS If neither of the above happens in that sequence then = FAIL
Well done. Customer can go whistle all they like but it's only going to cost them $$$ plus their current wof Now go & report the 'other' garage to be noted for a bogus wof
