So it was the ford he was driving that slowed him down 2 races in a holden 2 poles 1 win didnt see him do that in a ford

Bit of a turn around buddy. Thought he was useless and only good for rallying. Now you blame the badge. How about the team!

Ok, clarity - the cars are the same, same chassis, same suspension, same gearbox, only difference is engine and body panels.
They all put out 650bhp and produce the same downforce.
As for Shane: Very good drive but anyone who leaves a team with 3 years left on their contract and is CONTRACTED NOT to drive any other other V8 supercar in 2013 and then does so completely against his agreement is underarm bowling. After supporting this guy in the past I have lost respect .
Well done to Russell Ingall.

Contracts don't seem to mean anything these days any way. Most sports, they appear that they can just rip them up and throw them away (o:

if the stones really wanted to stop him dont you think they would have before this weekend!

You're a hard man, luck, if you're really lucky maybe one pole, but two poles and a win is not luck, seems the only luck he had was in the first race.and that was bad luck. But point taken, we're only two races in, and Triple 8 seem to be the big winners (especially the great Craig Lowndes) big ups to Scott Mclaughlin.

seems all the test work 888 did for the COTF has really given them a bigger advantage than they had last year.Looks like another year ofcommodore cup racing. Skaife should not of been head of this project ,His holden & 888 links are evident .

lmfaoif the giz was driving a pos what was garth tander driving last year
Yeah yeah and Murph would have beaten him blah blah blah.
LOL. Two poles and a win makes a 'lucky guy' LOL. You are the funniest without even trying.

Oh don't you worry, Ross (Jimmy is no longer part of it) tried very hard to stop him. Didn't have a legal leg to stand on in truth so was unsuccessful in more ways than one. Ever wondered what he thought he would be driving and for whom when he resigned early last year!

Shane was allowed out of his 5 year SBR arrangement on a clear contracted understanding that he would not race V8 Supercars with any other team in 2013.
They allowed him to race any other cars, anything he wanted other than Aussie V8's (Shane said he just wanted to race quadbikes and chill at his folks pool house). Then, in 2014, he would be allowed to return to V8 Supercars with any team her chose.
A very fair and generous offer from Ross Stone with almost no restrictions. Remember this is the company that gave him his break, bought him into Aussie V8's - Shane even lived in Ross Stone's house.
Then SVG, completely against his contractual obligations, signs up with Tekno and he hasn't even had the maturity to speak to Ross since.
He's a great driver but I can't support him and I hope SBR/Erebus make good on that legal contract and stop him racing this season.
