My thread seems to have disappeared

couple of nights ago I asked about towing a double float with a Nissan Rnessa with not good news as the response.
SO!
how about a 3litre diesel Toyota Granvia van. I see people towing with vans, but have always thought they didn't have enough weight in the back end for maximum stability.
Comments please. Seems these days everyone tows with an SUV, but we don't have one, nor can we afford to buy one.

I think if you gave a price range that people may be able to suggest something that would be suitable for your purpose. And being more mature you would want something easy to get in and out of!

Sorry, I forgot to mention that we own a Granvia in very good condition, but could do without it, if we were to consider giving it to them to tow with.
Over generous mummy that I am

ansypansy1, Feb 27, 6:50pm
as per my original post a 3 litre diesel van, not a 4X4
which incidentally has had all but the two front seats removed.

ansypansy1, Feb 27, 6:52pm
thanks John, but it wasn't THAT post I couldn't find, I'd started a new one tonight about the Toyota Granvia

Had a granvia vangood tow wagon tow allsorts car transporter to hastings in back from aucks 7 meter boat top north in back no worrys only problem dam rear door not open as trailer in way ,flat trailer ok

corky, Feb 28, 9:26am
Apparently not.

kazbanz, Feb 28, 10:06am
Granvia has the lenth you need. Throwing tack in wouldn't be an issue. Dunno about the lack of rear end weight though. I could imagine massive wheelspin in a muddy paddock.-I must say I have no real factual basis to say this as I used to cart race bikes/trailbikes in my hiace van and a trailer with no issues

Yes on the road the granvia will be good to tow with.

ansypansy1, Mar 1, 8:18am
so I've had a few mixed messages, but it sounds as though it wouldn't be the end of the world to put a float behind our van.
thanks for the comments folks.
