Holley or Edelbrock?

Looking to replace Holley 600VS, with an updated model on SBC350, but am starting to look at Edelbrock.
Engine has Edelbrock intake.
Any thoughts one way or other! Also not running choke at mo, elec v manual.!

Either is good option, favour Edelbrock myself. Manual choke.

I went through a few different options. I have a 351 clevo. Mild work. Tried 750 d/p 750v/s then decided to try a 675 Street avenger. Holy shit the car flys compared to the other combos. I run no choke. Mine sits on a edelbrock performer manifold.

Also buy brad new from the states. Dont muck around with rebuilt carbs. I did and regretted it

Quickfuel, SS680, very good well made carbs.

Use a Holley with a manual choke. When I worked at a carb' shop we had a bin full of brand new Edelbrock carb's which we had replaced with Holley's.
I use a Holley with a heat choke.

Theres only two to choose from, Quickfuel or Holley. Why do you want to replace what you've got!

The current one is a bit temperamental (and old), I was just weighing up getting it rebuilt, but is half way to price of new one.
I will have it checked again to make sure theres no crap inside.
I have had the current one checked out and it still floods occasionally after the secondary has kicked in and I ve got to the point where I cant trust it to perform, it usually runs sweet, can just go dog.
New holley 600 seem not badly priced.

i had one 351 windsor, i tried a rebuilt holley 600 v/s, a new 525 demon, and a rebuilt 500 edelbrock.the edelbrock out performed the others.i only use edelbrocks now. have used edelbrocks since, love 'em. just got a new 700 d/p holley for my 429 big block only because i got it off a mate for $300 but if it doesn't perform im going straight to an edelbrock again.

also, an Edelbrock is just the same as a Carter carb'.

how about ''demon'' carbs

kjmc, Feb 28, 5:11pm
dont know much about them to be honest. I will google them.
