I have just removed the old head unit from my car, there is space for a regular sized head unit and another space for a double height sized one. Both of them were occupied by the old system, however the new head unit only uses the smaller slot, so I now have a gaping hole. What is the plastic thing called that makes it into a little shelf/cubby hole type thing! I need to try find one, but I don't know what people call them, and knowing that will make asking for one a lot easier.

^ As above. You'll want to get a Double Din filler or something to that extent to fill up the other two slots.

Selley's Space Invader should fill it.

What is your car! You can buy a double size pocket or just use two singles. alternatively there are factory filler plates (for want of a better word) They screw onto the front mount for the radio and you have a big flat plate there. -Otherwise just throw the old double din unit back in the hole and put a picture of your partner/kids on the face of it.-if you do it right it looks like a framed picture
