Purely for fun, but could also be a daily.
Been saving all my spare pennies for a few years now and decided its time to buy something nice.
Would like it to go fast and look good.
Any suggestions!

Buy a good MR2 (or similar) for $4-5k and do something wise with the rest.

A slav hottie from either Poland, Ukraine or the Motherland. Fcuk cars - none of them will give you a ride like something from there will.

Easily the best answer of the week.

Hmmm listed six months ago and still not sold!I like the Lotus / Westfield idea, but the Lotus wins out because it will still hold its value. If running costs and resale aren't a big issue, you'd pick up an early model Porsche Boxster

woody1946, Mar 19, 6:21pm
Yep--many men have been taken for a ride with them

Stretch to mid twenties and wait for a cheap Lotus Elise to come along. best car for fun you'll ever own.

Honda S2000 - Car&Driver magazine pitted it against the BMW Z4 3.0, Audi TT Quattro, Porsche Boxster, Nissan 350Z back in 2003 and the S2000 came out top, they put it in 1st place. It has a 9000rpm redline, 6 speed gearbox, 240hpfrom a naturally aspirated 2 litre motor, superb handling and is amazingly economical on petrol for a hi-performance vehicle. A drive in one will convince you, hit the VTEC zone at 7000rpm and there's not much on the road that can stay with you, the sound from 7000-9000 revs is something else - electrifying.

monaro17, Mar 19, 8:38pm
I don't know about anyone else but personally I would rather not have to ring the nuts off a car to get the performance and in the process deafen myself and/or nearby civilians, but that's just me, what ever floats your boat.

I would. If I didn't want to rev, I'd have a truck engine in my sports car.

sw20, Mar 21, 3:34am
Overpriced. That was for sale when I sold mine back in August of 2011.

lugee, Mar 21, 11:10am
Stretch to 80k and get a Honda NSX manual.
