to ring to ask VTNZ the weight of a trailer (I have the number plate) I tried the number in yellow pages, but it gave me different options, none of which was the one I wanted

thankyou, one letter makes a bit difference aye. I've just logged in too late to ring them, I guess they'll be haring home for the long weekend. I know I can get the info, because I spoke to someone in there before and she said if I could give her the numberplate, she could give me the weight. Oh well, I'll wait till Tauesday

So Ltnz or whatever they are called now, are open till 6pm, so I rang with the number I could see in the photo, only to find that plate had been cancelled for ten years. Then I rang my daughter in law and got the REAL number. There was an F at the front that I couldn't see in the photo, but there is no weight stated on the rego papers, so no further ahead with my enquiries. I would imagine it's not a heavy float, and it has brakes, but still needs to be able to be towed, and their car can't do it. I'm considering giving them our Toyota Granvia 3l diesel auto van, but even that might not be suitable. Could be too light in the back end. Oh well, back to the drawing board.
