What would it take for the general public to look else where when buying and selling online!
If common sense prevailed a new website with a fixed fee structure should be able to set up shop and take some of trademe's market share but it seems the general public of New Zealand are creatures of habit, and won't give up their loyalty to trademe.
So what would it take! A million dollar ad campaign! Enough capital to sustain that campaign until attitudes change and critical mass is achieved!
Alot is said about the cost of things in New Zealand being very high and in many cases this is true, but could it be our relentless loyalty to monopolies is to blame!

Side of the road is still free. innit! IRD can get rooted. Price to buy, cost to fix, cost to reg and wof, cost of fuel for 'test drives', GST on EVERYTHING we buy, PAYE, etc etc. buggerall profit. Good luck!

For sale info on the car itself as you drive it lol. But saying that, a lot of those I see have only a number and no price. Why waste everyone's time!

From now on, I will not pay for subtitles on my listings and will charge customers the change of ownership fees. This way I can absorb the fee increases.
