i hope they dont see this as comercial posting it sortof borders on that but i think it should be classed as non comercial post as its not benefiting just 1 single party. We all could potentially go and enjoy the sale.

I spotted two permanent number plates issued in 1966, so at least those two were still in use then. The Vauxhall looks very like the 1936 DX I learned to drive in and got my drivers licence in. Amazing collection with the body shells looking remarkably free of rust. Would be fantastic to see them washed down.

. This garage at Hinds and contents and Museum( sic) has been for sale for yonks for just under 500k as is the home and garages and bits and bobs at Mt Nessing Road; another $500k;;if the owner had been a bit more realistic on his prices we would of bought the whole shebang and continued the business,, . The cars we viewed were in poor to parts only condition , a Maxi average rego expired, a Austin A40 wellside poor,Austin A70 not too bad,Vauxhall wyn Poor and a Vauxhall Pf , The cars at his Home were never shown to the public ;secret squirrels ! The rover 14 (One of them anyway) was one he bought off us as school boys back in the late 60 s, back then ,he had a lot of the cars stored, behind the old bus depot in Geraldine for decades; . That Rover 14,was our first car . $275 dollars 1968 ish. it has a blown piston on number two cylinder ,piston is actually stuck at the top of the bore and the rest of the piston still went up and down. i think from memory he gave us $20 for it. after the 3rd ticket and an order off the road from the old Minstry of Transport Traffic Officers, hell it only used a kero tin of waste oil every time we went for a drive ! . good on him for saving the cars ,but like a lot of old timers ,he couldn't bear to part with his treasures ,,, . Thats a heads up for all you old coots ! with a drive way full of junk ! (SORRY COLLECTABLE CLASSICS)
fix them up sell them, keep one good one, and one for spares, and a spare for the spare, and that one that is too good to wreck(you see how it starts ! go out and enjoy life.
Im not pointing the finger(okay yes i Am) the Rover man In Temuka),come on mate , let them go ,thirty cars is just silly .
,,,,besides ive only got 5 !

Thanks for your comments & yes, the cars are in amazing condition. Well used & not restored, but actually look like they were driven into the shed.
