And the media is used to twist the facts . USA has huge huge debt to China , They can not pay so they need to try and devalue the Chinese / Russian economy . The USA can only pay by means of land swap . ! Its happening !

Longer than 10 years, and mostly cars- for a while Russia was the number One marketplace for export used cars out of Japan, but they have scaled back recently (pressure from the new car manufacturers in Russia) and now sit at around fifth or sixth. 5,416 units in May, for example.

who cares, then an even better car will be $20, cheap to upgrade from a $10 car.

Is there a used BMW import market? Whats the safety aspect of having a accident in a Jap car? And having a accident in a BMW?
I have scrapped out cars and if you knew the difference between whats in a Jap car and a BMW and how they are made, I don't think anyone would ever buy a Jap car again.
If you knew as much as you think you do you'd know Mercedes is where its at as far as European cars go. Iv seen pics of E classes hit by trains and you just about had to look at the train to see if IT came off second best.
Anybody that thinks a BMW is quality doesnt know jack shit.

. My first jap import was a Mitzi Eterna early 80 s $6k electric every thing ,hated that car ,mind you that was when the built like an Aussie tank advert was on TV and promoting the V6 model at around $30k ,NZ new.
. next import was a Nissan Attesa ,coupe / but with four doors ? glass piller less ,four wheel steer, turbo ,air con power steer electric motors for seats sunroof doors windows ,i think from memory it had over 10 electric motors init $10 k POS very thing failed one after the other . l motor sludged up ,power sterring failed. alternater gave up the ghost , i end up giving that car to the EX , good riddance to both !
. went back to a 75 Truimph 2.5 stag model, electric overdrive ,leather seats manual power steer one owener lowmilage $999. . i bought it from the dealer that took the Eterna as a trade down . poor bastard that bought it was a work colleague ,he hated it took but for different reasons than me ! . have i learn t my lesson now ? . hell no still buying and selling cars ,got to have a hobby ! bought a orange low mileage Maxi off the side of the road in Temuka, as i couldn't find a decent trailer for sale locally, car came with a recon motor he hadn't got around to putting in ! Amused and abused that Maxi to hell and back , towed a car transporter to CH-Ch with a Rover 3500 on the back of it , stuffed it full of scrap metal ,1.5 ton got brass copper and alloy.jammed into it .at the scrappy the idiots working there asked if the Maxi was going to scrap too ! PILGRIMS ! . regret selling both of those good cars. a mint Triumph 74 to 78 an easy $4k, these days a mint Maxi ? still fetch $2 to $3 k. . ,.as for the Jap imports who would buy an 84/ 86/ 89 ex import ?

Depending on what it is. plenty! Top of my head- DR30 Skyline, even an R30 with the 6-cylinder turbo. RX7. Familia DOHC-Turbo BFMR, even a BD EGi Turbo, early Soarer, Leopard V6 or J-Ferie, Fairlady (esp the 280Z), early Integra V-TECS, early Supra, not to mention plenty of "old school" import sedans that are now sought-after as cruisers, usually lowered on imitation Watanabes. then there are the Levins, Trueno Apex, . need I go on?

Kevlight-give the jap cars time to catch up and be fourty fifty etc years old. Some haven't stopped being popular like the 1990's landcruisers. Some I think will be looked on like the current crop of American heavy metal.
