Sad to hear, thank goodness though that safety has improved significantly since the 70's and before.

Until this accident. Not sure the red flag wasn't deployed as soon as they put the tractor on the track for the previous incident. It was atrocious conditions.

Amen to that. In the 1960s particularly, pre seat belts, the death toll was horrific. Just makes it sadder that this wasn't even flat out racing.

Despite the tragedy, there have been no deaths in the last 21 years and F1 remains the safest motor racing sport in the world. Whatever steps they take, the risk to human life can only be minimised, not eliminated. Still a sad day. Lets hope for at least another 21 years.
