Umm Mine has self park, and the throttle and brake are controlled by a human, it only steers for you

This is bad reporting. The park assist still needs human to use accelerometer and brakes, it steers and instructs what to do. Still a human being thumped the go pedal hard and didn't brake. Car makers won't / can't have car take over completely because of liability problems. Imagine if the car did that what an American lawyer would do to Volvo?, Usual crap reporting and gullible audience.

The only thing a car should do for you is change gear (arguably), cancel the indicators , stop the windows when they're at their desired openings, and beep if you've left the headlights on or if the engine overheats.
All the other nonsense like auto headlights and auto wipers are just horrible and teach people to be useless dicks,. but I must confess that an auto-darkening rear vision mirror I had on a Range Rover was actually pretty good

no surprises there i wonder if the morons use winblows crap now. i recall the car makers giving billy boy gates crap about winblows telling him if they built cars like he does windows not one would work right. The pile of crap 2014 C4 citroen is not even having any of self parking and reved its guts out all on its own, all it needs is be in d on its automatic transmission one day and doing that peugeot have self parking ones and peugeot and citroen is the same psa crap.
