Attention AA : UK licence Ok for ownership change

I usually do all my customer ownership changes online, but my last customer didn't have a NZ licence, so we went to the AA office to do change of ownership.
The lady at the counter said "I'm sorry, but we cannot accept you UK licence, so can you bring in your passport as a form of ID instead?"
Luckily, I was standing in line with my customer and politely informed her that she was wrong. A lot of back and forth and then, she got the manger involved, who finally agreed I was right and they were wrong.
I wonder how many other people have been inconvenienced by their ignorance?

That may be the case but NZTA website

https://transact.nzta.govt.nz/transactions/NoticeOfAcquisition/entry.aspx

Only mentions NZ licence. No mention of others.

the reason i could not use my swiss driver license to change owner when i had no nz license was , They need to enter a expiry date. and a swiss driver licens never expires hence it hd no expiry date lol. so they used the passport whom has a expiry date for them to enter.

I find the AA are generally pretty good--Now post shop on the other hand--nightmare.
It seems silly that she would argue without checking --its there in black and white

That's for an online transaction. For an over the counter transaction any ID that has your full name and DOB is adequate, including non photo ID.

Nope sorry--since July 2013 that I'm aware of there is a very specific list of items you can use for identity.
