I saw on F.B someone is looking for a 1957 - 1965 Humber 80 bonnet figurine ( Chromed winged women ) I have one off the first car I owned from 40 years ago. I am torn between keeping it, or selling it so that someone can complete their resto. I thought I would see what they are worth on the internet. But as the Hillman Minx was only ever released with the Humber badge in NZ they appear to be like rocking Horse do do! What do you guys think regarding pricing it?
not uncommon here I have several among my bits and pieces.

they would be realativley rare but also not particularly sought- after, no-one would pay $150.00 for a scuttley old second hand one that's for sure. You can buy a whole hillman / humber for that !

I was going to say $80 (& I'm in the automotive restoration parts supply field). But then, you have one, so you hold the upper hand so to speak. you can ask what you want - the buyer can then decide on how desperate (keen) they are.

My very first car was a 1960 Humber 80. Great car. Had to hold it in first gear when taking off as it would occasionally jump out.

Our race ones in the 60's were quick.

Yes they were, so was the Lycoming Special, and the Morrari in their time. :)
