Junction box for accessories on bike

tamarillo, Sep 16, 2:40pm
Now have too many things wanting 12 volt feed from battery, and it's getting silly with all these wires and connectors having to be threaded through the connector screws to battery terminals.
Surely I can run a good feed from battery to a self contained junction box that takes in a positive and negative and allows me to attach 5 different wires to it? Needs to be sleek and solid as will be tucked in to spare space in front of battery box.
Tried searching online but can't think what to call such a thing?
Help?

What about something like this.

Ah ha, I think. Looks like exactly what I want. I assume it takes live only and distributes it? I stupidly run wires to earth on battery at present but guess I shouldn't be doing that and just find a decent earth point.
Thanks, at least I have an idea of what I need now.

Go to jaycar or a good auto sparky shop. is it possible to standardise all the connectors to one type like say USB or lighter socket? then you can get a multiboard type arrangement.

If higher amps concerned then the white plastic Narva plugs should be plenty. Buy an assortment kit.

There's nothing inside those though, clark20.

He's wanting more of a bus connector to run multiple circuits off. I've run a double USB outlet/socket from my battery to the handlebar on my Kwaka for my Navman, and I could charge my phone too if needed.

Cool and thanks all. I see what I need now so will try Jaycar and see what they have. Didn't think of having it fused but actually it's a damn good idea.

That's excellent idea, just bit uncertain about construction of it all. Hmmm

Tamarillo-goes without saying you need a battery that is up to it.
I would suggest going to a MARINE electrical supplier to be sure of no issues.
