i know autologic the diesel expert in the uk uses it of whom i got training material from , You can only professionally do 8 car makes to the oem level with the ammount of money gear costs.
autologic is good on volvo vw bmw and possible a few more makes mostly european makes .
j2534 is the standard they try carmakers to get to adapt for module reflashing and programming,
the uk guy has this one and possible the new one also my videos are 2 years old

question do you get mutch respons from your tradme workshop advert?

Hi yes most brands BMW MERC LANDROVER VAG.
The issue I am pointing at however it is time in New Zealnd that we as independents have near full capability as in europe and usa.
In Australia at present it is going through the motions to be passed in to legislation.
Thus you login pay your topix fee and or oss etc vida what ever and program and code.

The AL pictured is new to the market and only just being released.
totally via subs through manufacturers websites etc.

20k plus 2k per make, probably the best money can buy for euro. you can exceed oem level diagnostics ie remove fault codes permanantly as well as custom remaps dpf removal cat removal etc etc. Although its funny you say independents should have full access at the moment autel is being taken to court by ford for copyright infringements for the ability to "modify" copyrighted vehicle software

read up about block exemption, its a nightmare you can force manufacturer to hand over inf for 2010 onwards vehicles but block exemption is ending i did not follow it to much as i cant do anything against manufacturer bullys anyhow

bigfatmat1, May 21, 7:00pm
Its ford I am unsure why they have singled out autel details are vague

i think from what i did read since that software is oem not global obd2 .
the thing was how they obtained the software without paying ford for it. think that was the issue there from what i did read .

" meet Euro Legislation,Australia will be on board soon"

because i just read in the gearman professional magazin obtaining technical information= big problem. the article is a + article to pay for so i only can read the title as i did so far not think it was worth to pay for the + articles they had .

i done some research the new tool is just j25-34 there is no need to spend 16 grand for a tool like that, when drewtechnology have the cardaq-plus for 1600~ us$ and you add what manufacturer you want not all are fully backwards compatible like the gm-tech2 is stil required for older cars as one example.
