Hard call-do you specifically want no rear seats and twin side doors?

brapbrap8, Dec 9, 7:24pm
Looks fine to me, says it has been well serviced.

Mileage can mean very little, a well serviced car will be better at 500,000km than one that hasn't been serviced done 100,000km.

Get it checked out by a VW specialist and see how they rate it.

just looking for a safe van for my daughter . in my price range .

toyboy3, Dec 9, 7:35pm
Wonder why it has seat covers ? What are they hiding

snoopy221, Dec 9, 7:43pm
K you are looking at better than an l300
Mileage is a concern if? it has a dual mass flywheel and at 300 is on either it's second clutch- or possibly close to an expensive one.
twin doors is a major bonus on a van if doing deliverys etc.
Note- have done MANY appraisals on vehicles- would rather do a hundred appraisals . and get a good one

intrade, Dec 9, 7:47pm
possible no dmf on a petrol i would have to look in etka what it likely has if it is of interest.
also you just got to plan on having a new engine put in one day if it is worn out

snoopy221, Dec 9, 7:50pm
mmkay-not the worst i have seen intrade-sure beats an ole L300 missypussy- LOL

thisles5, Dec 9, 7:52pm
its not to use for work , just local getting around . 100 /150 k a week

snoopy221, Dec 9, 7:54pm
Why a van?

intrade, Dec 9, 7:56pm
mb100 and 140 vans are built like tanks 7mm thick solid chassy under it will crumble any oponent other then trucks.

she is used to the mitsi l 300 and just feels better sitting higher, as opposed to ( sitting on the road ) in a car, as she puts it. + she does arty stuff and takes around art canvases now and then . they are bulky 4 ft. x 4 ft,

thisles5, Dec 9, 8:09pm
he is going to put up a photo tomorrow with the seat covers off. --- what else should i ask .

intrade, Dec 9, 8:12pm
when the clutch was done?
how much owners?
and if it is the original engine

gunhand, Dec 9, 8:22pm
Why is it 50 shades of grey. or in this case white? Seat covers? really? They protect the seat lol. Ive always had seat covers on cars, saves getting the most used seat worn or dirty lol. However I guess some use them to cover a hideous mess.

thisles5, Dec 9, 8:39pm
ive done that. probably gone to bed. like im gonna do. --- i like it.

seadubya, Dec 9, 8:42pm
Take her for a few test drives in SUV's, much bigger selection in your price range with a similar height off the ground for seating. More bang for your buck than a commercial van and lots more to choose in the higher safety range.

thisles5, Dec 10, 3:28pm
well ! he has answered some questions .

kazbanz, Dec 10, 3:56pm
thisles-for that money you know what I suggest. You will get one with less than 1/3 the miles and 2-3 years newer

mack77, Dec 10, 9:25pm
I think that you should forget about buying a van since an SUV or a Station Wagon will do the job that you require and be much cheaper and most importantly very much safer. Keep out of vans, most of them are death traps.

thisles5, Dec 11, 8:20am
this one had 5 star safety . is that right .

vtecintegra, Dec 11, 8:23am
No, they didn't test commercial vehicles that long ago

thisles5, Dec 11, 2:34pm

vtecintegra, Dec 11, 2:44pm
That's based off the same kinda questionable system ACC uses to classify cars for licensing purposes. I guess its fine to compare to other rating using the same system, but don't mistake it for being equivalent to ANCAP

thisles5, Jul 1, 5:33am
bought it anyway .
